(Ottawa) - On Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, a woman in her late 20s who agreed to get into an unknown man's green vehicle on McArthur Avenue - in the late afternoon, early evening - was driven to an unknown location, possibly in the East end. The man and woman got out of the vehicle and walked to a wooded area where the man sexually assaulted and choked her. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The woman was able to flee the scene and was later assisted by a man, driving a red van. He picked her up and drove her to the area of Blake Boulevard and Lafontaine Avenue.

The male suspect is described as a white male, in his 40s, with a white beard and long hair and spoke English. He was driving an older model green 4-door vehicle.

The Ottawa Police interviewed the victim this week to gather further information about the suspect.

Investigators would like to speak to the man who assisted the victim. He is a white male with a reddish beard, short curly hair, wearing glasses and was driving a red van at the time.
