OTTAWA -- One man is dead after a fire early today at an apartment building in west-end Ottawa.
Firefighters were called to the building (at 1330 Richmond Rd.) after smoke was seen on the fifth floor just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 29, 2015
Smoke was discovered coming from one unit and firefighters forced their way in and found a man without vital signs.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
