One man was killed and another was injured when their vehicle collided with a train near Smiths Falls, southwest of Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police say the collision occurred at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene; another was transported to hospital in Smiths Falls with not life-threatening head injuries.
Police say they won't release any further information until next of kin have been notified.
The collision has closed Wood Road in Montague Township. The road is expected to reopen at about 7 p.m.
