It makes you wonder when you hear people say same old...same old...when they watch the Ottawa Senators lose to Los Angeles...game 1 of a new coach. ...

My question..why would you expect anything different?

The sloppiness...the lack of scoring isn't something new........the downward slide began more than a season ago. So how would anyone expect Cory Clouston to turn it around over night. Cut the man some slack.

I like what I see in Clouston...he's young...and focused...and he's bright. Those who have played for him say he isn't out there to be making friends among the players. I like that.

My guess...he will find his stride pretty quickly...turn the Senators into a better hockey team...a playoff team? The man would have to be a miracle worker.

It's not that the players tuned Craig Hartsburg out...I don't think they ever tuned him in....and that's why the Senators seemed to be sailing along for so long without any real direction. Clouston has the personality that should get the attention of the players...help make a bad team better....Before you pass judgement....give him some time.
