The world's largest skateway will close for the season at 11 p.m. Thursday night.
The National Capital Commission says it decided to shut down the popular outdoor skateway because extremely mild temperatures are moving into the region over the next couple of days.
It's believed more than one million people enjoyed a skate on the canal over the last 64 days.
