General Motors is recalling about 150,000 Chevy Cruze subcompacts in Canada and the United States.
The vehicles are from the 2011 model year, and were assembled in Lordstown, Ohio.
GM says it wants to inspect the intermediate steering shaft covers to ensure they were properly installed.
About 120,000 of the recalled Cruzes with automatic transmissions will be checked to ensure the transmission shift linkage was properly installed.
