Four people are charged in connection with the kidnapping of a truck driver and the theft of a tractor trailer from the parking lot of an Ottawa LCBO store in July.
The suspects were arrested and charged by Peel regional police after an investigation into a series of tractor trailer-related robberies and kidnappings, primarily in Peel Region.
The Ottawa kidnapping targeted a truck driver at the LCBO store near Bank Street and Walkley Road on July 28.
The driver and his tractor were later found east of Ottawa near Vaudreuil, Que. The driver was uninjured in the incident.
Police say the suspects are from the Toronto-area. They have been charged with kidnapping, robbery, conspiracy and using an imitation firearm during an offence.
