Thirteen occupants of a west Quebec hotel were evacuated after the building caught fire early Monday morning.

Fire crews were called to Hotel Lafontaine in Thurso, Que. at about 1:30 a.m.

The roof collapsed as a result of the blaze and the owner says he plans to rebuild. No injuries were reported.

As a result, Thurso residents are being asked to conserve water because the fire drained reserves.
