Dr. Vera Etches has been appointed Acting Medical Officer of Health for the City of Ottawa.
She replaced Dr. Isra Levy who will be stepping down December 15 to take on a new role at the Canadian Blood Services.
Dr. Levy has been Ottawa's Medical Officer of Health since 2006.
