Three people face charges of second-degree murder after a 38-year-old man died of "life-threatening injuries" near Belleville Saturday, prompting an ongoing police investigation. A post-mortem will take place Monday at the Ottawa hospital, the same day the three will appear in court.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call about an injured man at 7:30 am. in Ameliasburgh, a small ward in Prince Edward County just southwest of Belleville and about three hours' drive from Ottawa.
Trenton, Ont.'s Mark Patterson died shortly afterwards of his injuries.
The three people charged for second-degree murder are:
- Noel Radomski, 40, of Ameliasburgh;
- Ryan Ferguson, 32, of Frankford;
- an unnamed 17-year-old from Prince Edward County. His name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, which keeps the identities of underage accused and offenders anonymous.
