Many satisfied customers have voted the Ottawa area's nine Broadway Bar and Grill locations as serving Ottawa's Best Breakfast – the largest margin of victory yet.
Co-owner Jimmy Sotiropoulos said the secret to their breakfasts come from across the Atlantic Ocean.
"The only thing I can say about the recipe is it's my mom's recipe and it went through a few generations," he said. "She brought it back from the village straight from Greece."
Broadway began in Barrhaven in 1992 and has since expanded to places like Cumberland, Stittsville and Orleans.
The other co-owner Bryan Hubka said their successful recipe is always ready for expansion.
"We've just recently redone the breakfast menu," he said. "And maybe another location or two in the city on the outskirts again."
Reviews for the menu, which includes omlettes, smoothies and waffles, reflected its winning status.
"I like the atmosphere and the breakfast is great," said Beverly Lethbridge.
"They have great home fries here," said Janis Lanting.
Broadway took top place over Chances R on Woodroffe Avenue.
- Bobby's Table (Vanier) 10%

- Chances R (Woodroffe Road) 26%
- Cora's (multiple locations) 6%
