Air Canada flight safely makes emergency landing in Ottawa

An Air Canada flight safely made an emergency landing at the Ottawa International Airport on Monday.

According to a spokesperson for the airport, the flight was travelling from Halifax to Toronto.

It landed at around 4:50 p.m. Ottawa police said they were called but were stood down by crews at the airport.

The airport's fire services crew responded and passengers were offloaded to the terminal and helped by the airline. No one was injured.

The airport says operations were temporarily affected but returned to normal very quickly.
