An 8-year-old girl died after a possible drowning incident at the Kanata Leisure Centre Saturday night.
The girl suffered "medical distress" while at the wave pool just before 8 p.m. Lifegaurds administered CPR, and paramedics worked on her before moving to CHEO's intensive care unit, where she died.
There were no indications of foul play, according to police. The girl's name was not released.
