WATCH LIVE: CTV Ottawa special coverage of REDBLACKS victory parade

Forty years to the day since an Ottawa team last won the Grey Cup, the Ottawa Redblacks arrived back in town on Monday with the championship trophy after a thrilling overtime upset over the Calgary Stampeders the night before.

The Redblacks headed to TD Place, where they were mobbed by waiting fans. But the real celebration happens Tuesday, with the team's Grey Cup parade down Bank Street.

The parade is scheduled to start at noon at Bank Street and Pretoria Avenue, just south of the Queensway, before heading south on Bank Street. It will arrive at Lansdowne Park around 12:30 p.m.

A celebration ceremony in Aberdeen Square outside TD Place stadium will follow.

The Redblacks are encouraging fans to walk along the parade route, using the sidewalks.

It won't be ideal parade weather, though. Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning for Ottawa, with the freezing rain expected to start overnight and into Tuesday morning.
