A teenaged girl is now stable after being struck by an OC Transpo bus in east Ottawa Tuesday morning.
Ottawa paramedics said they were called to the intersection of St. Laurent Boulevard and Hemlock Road around 7:50 a.m., where a 15-year-old girl had been hit.
They said she was unconscious when they arrived and stayed that way upon arrival at CHEO, suffering from life-threatening head injuries.
A witness told CTV Ottawa’s Graham Richardson the girl was trying to cross the road when she was hit, with her mother running to the scene from a nearby building.
Ottawa police are investigating the crash and said the hospital told them the girl has been stabilized.
