The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario is proposing that schools be closed when buses are canceled because of bad weather.
The federation says that teachers are putting their lives at risk by driving to school on snow days.
In Ottawa, there were three snow days last year where buses were canceled but schools remained open.
