Two people have been charged after people playing the Pokemon Go game on their phones were swarmed in the area of City Hall near Lisgar Street overnight.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the male victim’s phone was grabbed by a suspect who then fled. He was tracked down in the canal area by the victim and ultimately arrested by Military Police.

Police say the female victim was accosted by the second suspect who tried to take her phone.

A 17-year-old has been charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of recognizance.

19-year-old Mohamed Ouedraogo is charged with robbery.

Police are reminding the public to have fun playing the game but to do it safely.
