Ontario Provincial Police have identified the body of a man found dead in the North Grenville area Wednesday evening as 27-year-old Deepak Beaudoin-Reichmann of Niagara Region.

He had been reported missing by family members Oct. 5. Police believe Beaudoin-Reichmann may have been in the Ottawa area between Oct. 5 to 9.

OPP responded shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night to a report of a body found in the area of County Road 18 and County Road 20, east of Bishop Mills in North Grenville.

"Preliminary autopsy results do require further testing and we are still treating this as a suspicious death," said OPP Sgt. Kristine Rae.

Police say he was wearing Jack Jones jeans and a T-Shirt with “BANE” on the front. He also had on Doc Martin Boots and a dog tag necklace with “count me out" written on it.

Sgt. Rae also said there is reason to believe the body had not been there very long. "He had a well-groomed beard and definitely physically fit," she said.

OPP had part of the intersection closed off near where the body was found as they investigated.

Police had said there was no reason to believe there was any risk to the public.
