Quebec police divers were searching in a creek in the Kitigan Zibi reserve today for two teenagers who have been missing for nearly nine years.

Maisy Odjick and Shannon Alexander were last seen in Maniwaki in September 2008.

The young girls were heading to a dance that night but never returned home.

A public tip in the last few weeks has led police to the Pitobig Creek on the Kitigan Zibi reserve, about two hours north of Ottawa.

The girls were 16 and 17 years old at the time they disappeared without a trace.
