Ottawa police are investigating a triple stabbing Thursday afternoon at a home in the Old Ottawa East area.

Police were called to a home on Simcoe St.  in the Main St. and Lees Ave. area.

Police say two men and one woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries due to stabbing wounds.

One of the people stabbed is the alleged attacker. He is in police custody.

Police are treating the incident as a domestic case and say there is no risk to the public.

One witness describes a man being taken out of the home on a stretcher who appeared to be “very badly beaten up.”

Witnesses at the scene describe a verbal fight at the home sometime last week.

Simcoe Street was closed briefly Thursday afternoon between Springhurst Avenue and Evelyn Avenue but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
