A man suffered non-life threating injuries and Ottawa police are searching for a vehicle after a shooting on Merivale Rd. on Saturday night.
The OPS Duty Inspector tweeted the victim was being treated for a gunshot wound.
Police are looking for a green, 2004 GMC Envoy with tinted windows and chrome trim with the licence plate BZRT673 in relation to the shooting. If you see the vehicle, police say to call 911. Don't approach it because subjects are believed to be armed and dangerous.
Shell casings were littered across the southbound lanes of Merivale Rd. Police closed the street at Winthrow Ave., but the street has since re-opened.
The Guns and Gangs unit is investigating. It's Ottawa's 39th shooting of 2016.
