Flames from a massive house fire on Tuesday night could be seen from across the Rideau River.
Fire crews were called to 379 River Rd. after multiple 911 calls reported large flames coming from a house. Fire officials say the flames could be seen from as far away as Prince of Wales Dr.
The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and they commenced a defensive attack. The house is believed to be vacant.
The Ottawa Police website lists the house as a grow op where two arrests were made in 2013.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
