Ottawa fire crews and police are investigating a warehouse fire early Saturday morning on Colonnade Rd., hours after they were called to a kitchen fire in Kanata.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., multiple 911 calls were made reporting smoke and flames coming from a commercial warehouse at 125 Colonnade Rd. South, near Merivale and West Hunt Club roads.

Fire crews brought the blaze under control around 9:30 a.m. There are no reported injuries.

Ottawa police and Fire officials were on scene to investigate how the fire may have started.

Colonnade Rd. was closed for a short time, but has since reopened.

Fire crews also responded to a kitchen fire in Kanata in the early morning hours, caused but an unattended pot left on the stove.

They received a 911 call that a kitchen inside a unit at 760 March Rd. was full of smoke.

Fire crews brought the flames under control and ventilated the unit as police attended to residents.

No one was hurt.
