Cornwall man charged with first degree murder of mother

A 28-year-old Cornwall, Ontario man has been charged with first degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother.

The body of 52-year-old Jacqueline Martin was found in her Carleton Street residence Monday, Apr. 6, 2015.

Police say there were no vital signs when paramedics responded to the call.

Jonathan Michaud made his first court appearence on April 7, 2015.

Michaud was arrested Monday, Apr. 6, 2015.

Cornwall Police is urging anyone with information about this murder case to contact police detectives immediately.
