Dozens of friends and family surprised 16-year-old Ashley McFarland at Bayshore Mall today. Make-A-Wish rolled-out the red carpet for Ashley’s VIP shopping-spree.
Ashley, from Clayton, west of Ottawa, has Spina Bifida, a disabling birth defect.
Since she loves to shop, but had never been to a mall, a shopping spree was her wish.
Make-A-Wish expects to grant about 60 wishes in Eastern Ontario this year, to kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
Funds for this wish were raised by Tysen Lefebvre, who has been giving back to Make-A-Wish since he got his wish granted two years ago.
For Ashley, the best part, was sharing her special day with friends and family.
