A teenager is in critical condition after being struck by a car in front of a South Ottawa high school.
The 16-year-old boy was hit just before 11:30 this morning on Smyth Road in front of Franco Cité Secondary School.
Paramedics say he left the scene in an ambulance in critical condition.
It is not known if the pedestrian is a student of Franco Cité School
Ottawa Police Traffic collision investigators have been called to the scene.
Smyth Road is closed Westbound between Dauphin and Lynda.
