More than 100 shoppers in Kingston waited in line early this morning as Target opened its first store in Eastern Ontario.

The Kingston store is the 67th Target to open in Canada.

At 120 thousand square feet, the Kingston store is a little larger than a typical Target store.

More than 10 million dollars was spent to renovate the former Zellers store at the Cataraqui Centre.

Target has 173 people on the payroll in Kingston.

Ottawa Target stores won't open until the fall.
