The strike cloud still lingers over Ottawa's Salvation Army Tuesday several hours after being in an official position to walk off the job. The dozens of workers caught up in the labour dispute are no closer to an agreement but have decided to keep working – for now.

Union members at the Salvation Army say they are underpaid compared to other shelters like the Ottawa Mission and Shepherds of Good Hope. In fact, workers say the difference is between $2 and $4 less an hour.

There is still a chance the Salvation Army can lock out these workers if they don't agree on a contract.
