The Prosperity Fund in Ottawa honoured Ann Godbold Thursday night as the 2010 Caregiver of the Year for her role caring for her husband.
The fund is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organization that helps long-term care homes, their residents and their families.
Godbold, who provides care for her husband who is living with multiple sclerosis, was presented with a certificate by MPP Yasir Naqvi and CTV Ottawa's Kimothy Walker.
The award was created to recognize volunteer caregivers who devote their time and effort to improving the quality of life for seniors living in our community.
