Ottawa police are investigating a shooting last night in Ottawa's west end that sent two men to hospital.
The shooting happened about 10:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of Penny Drive off Richmond Road on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.
Two men in their 20's were wounded at the scene. One showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds. The other stumbled into a convenience store close to Penny Drive. Both had non-life threatening injuries.
A vehicle near the crime scene was found with the windows shot out of it.
The Guns and Gangs Unit was called in to investigate. They were canvassing door to door looking for information, and searching the area for clues.
Police say the victims aren't cooperating with them
Penny Drive was the scene last week of another shooting, this time into a house where four children were playing. No one was hurt in that incident. This is the city's 42nd shooting of the year.
Mark Taylor, the city councillor for the area, will call a public meeting on the violence on and around Penny drive.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 613-237-1212, ext. 5050, or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.
