Hundreds of people turned out Tuesday night for the unveiling of the Ottawa RedBlacks home and away uniforms ahead of the team’s inaugural season in the capital.
“They’re absolutely terrific looking,” said one fan.
“They’ve gone all out,” said another.
The away jersey is white with black stripes down the side and the home jersey is primarily black with red trim.
Many praised the colours as keeping in tradition with other Ottawa professional sports teams.
Team officials said merchandise is available online, as well as at a new store at Fifth Avenue Court in Ottawa’s Glebe neighbourhood beginning Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.

The RedBlacks first home game is scheduled for July 18, 2014.
