OTTAWA - The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a recent retail robbery and is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.

On Tuesday August 13, 2013, at approximately 1:45 am, a lone male entered a Mac’s Milk convenience store situated along the 2600 block of Alta Vista Drive. The suspect made an initial request for cigarettes but then produced a knife and made a demand for additional cigarettes, lighters, and cash. The suspect fled the premises with a quantity of cigarette packs, a number of lighters, and an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 50-55 years of age, 5'5"(165 cm), medium build, grey hair, salt & pepper beard. He was wearing a baseball cap, a blue shirt and jeans. The suspect possibly smelled of kitchen grease.
