Ottawa police are investigating a fatal stabbing in Overbrook.
Staff Sgt. Carl Cartwright says the stabbing was reported shortly after 9:30 on Monday evening.
A male victim was pronounced dead, shortly after police officers arrived on King George street. No age was released but Staff Sgt. Cartwright tells CTV Ottawa he believes the victim was an adult.
Major crime investigators, including forensic investigators, were on scene into the early morning hours Tuesday, interviewing witnesses and attempting to identify a suspect.
This is the city's third homicide of 2016
