BARRIE, Ont. - It was a night that Alex Fotinos will remember for a long time.

The 17-year-old rookie stopped all 38 he faced, earning his first career OHL shutout, as the Barrie Colts blanked the visiting Belleville Bulls 3-0 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

"You're never really supposed to think about the shutout as a goalie, but it's in the back of your mind the whole game," Fotinos said.

In 13 games this season, Fotinos is now 5-5-0 with a 3.13 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.

Ivan Telegin and Mark Scheifele each had a goal and an assist for the Colts (39-22-4), who have won three straight and sit third in the Eastern Conference, while Daniel Erlich added a single goal.

Bulls' (32-31-1) goaltender Malcolm Subban made 28 saves in a losing effort.

Both clubs went 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

At Barrie, Ont., Fotinos and Subban combined for 53 saves through two periods, keeping the game scoreless until the third period.

That's when the Colts broke out for all three of their goals.

Scheifele opened the scoring at 10:13, Telegin scored short handed at 12:14 and finally Erlich added one more into an empty net.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Kitchener 6, Erie 4; Sarnia 4, Owen Sound 0 and Saginaw 4, Sault Ste. Marie 1.
