The chief of staff to Ottawa Mayor Larry O'Brien plans to leave City Hall for a private sector position, CTV News has learned.
Eric Lamoureux and three other political staffers in the mayor's office are taking leaves of absence during O'Brien's upcoming criminal trial. But Lamoureux will not return regardless of the outcome.
Lamoureux has worked for O'Brien since the summer of 2007, starting as director of legislative affairs.
