Ottawa Police say a 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot Friday evening.
It happened in the 200 block of Lyon Street.
Police say upon further investigation, officers located a male they initially thought had been shot but had suffered an overdose. He's also in hospital in life-threatening condition.
The area of Lyon and Somerset Streets were closed for the investigation, but have since reopened.
Witnesses are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
