Long lineups marked the visitation Friday for Jessica Elizabeth Lloyd, 27, whose body was found last week after her disappearance. Hundreds came to her funeral on Saturday.

It was held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home at 80 Highland Ave., Belleville, at 1 p.m., where mourners paid tribute to her joy for life, hockey and also for rural areas.

"She loved the beauty of an overnight frost in the countryside," Rev. Cathy Paul said during the service.

Lloyd was last heard from on Jan. 29 when she sent a text message to a friend. Family and friends became concerned when she did not show up for work the next day.

Col. Russell Williams faces first-degree murder charges in connection with her death, as well as in relation to the murder of Cpl. Marie-France Comeau.

Several members of the military attended the service in solidarity for the slain woman.

Williams was the commander of CFB Trenton, but was taken off that post after the charges were laid. His replacement, Toronto-born Lt.-Col Dave Cochrane, will be promoted to colonel and will assume office Feb. 19.
