Farm Boy has recalled all glass bottles of its organic milk after glass fragments were reportedly found inside.
No injuries have been reported and the recall only affects organic bottled milk – skim, one per cent, two per cent, 3.8 per cent, unhomogenized and chocolate.
This release expanded upon a recall issued Wednesday by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) that included the same kinds of organic glass-bottled milk from Guelph's Organic Meadow Inc.
Farm Boy said in a release Friday the glass apparently came from the packing process in Russell, Ont.
Consumers across Ontario are asked to return the bottles for a full refund, and to leave them in original condition so they can be inspected.
All bottles have been removed from shelves and the CFIA is investigating.
