Chickens and turkeys were killed in a barn fire near Kemptville
Ottawa firefighters responded to a call for a fire in a chicken barn at 3972 Donnelly Drive Sunday afternoon.
Officials say 40 to 60 chickens inside the barn died. Several chickens and a couple of turkeys in an adjoining pen died from the heat.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
