A Barbados man charged with the murder of an Ottawa woman has a history of robbing tourists.
Curtis Foster, 24, pleaded guilty to five charges related to the robberies of five other tourists last year. He is also charged in a July 2008 rape of a German tourist.
Earlier this week, Barbados police arrested and charged Foster with the robbery and murder of Terry Schwarzfeld, 60, who was brutally attacked while walking on an isolated stretch of beach with her daughter-in-law last month.
Although both women were injured, Schwarzfeld took the brunt of the attack and suffered serious brain injuries.
Schwarzfeld died in an Ottawa hospital last week.
