A woman is dead after an ATV crash northwest of Wakefield, Que. on Friday, according to MRC des Collines.
Police said the 36-year-old driver of the ATV was on her way to Lake Champeau around 8:30 p.m. with a female passenger when she lost control and was ejected.
The driver, a woman from Rockland, died instantly.
Police said the passenger, a 25-year-old woman from Embrun, was taken to hospital in Hull with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The reason why the driver lost control is being investigated. Police said neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a helmet.
