At age 36 most people are just entering the prime of their careers. But at 36, Canadian jockey Chantal Sutherland has decided to retire. Sutherland has been called the Danica Patrick of horse racing.
She is a combination of talent and beauty. Her talent has helped her earn nearly 50 million dollars in winnings in thoroughbred racing. Her beauty has helped launch careers as an actor and model.
Sutherland has a sister who lives in Ottawa. They spend time working out together and catching up with life.
Sutherland lives year round in California. She was married recently and says the life of a jockey is exhausting and dangerous. So she is stepping away while she can.
