VERONA, Ont. -- Police believe they've found the body of a missing angler north of Kingston, Ont.
Provincial police began searching late Sunday afternoon after a boat, which a man had been fishing from on Hambly Lake near Verona, was found unoccupied.
The OPP's emergency response team did a ground search, but no one was found.
Police continued the search on Monday, with members of the underwater search and recovery unit discovering the body of an elderly man in the lake early in the afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing, and foul play is not suspected.
No name has been released pending notification of next of kin.
