Health Canada is considering applications for three supervised consumption sites in Ottawa.

The Health Canada website shows the agency has completed its review of the application for the facility at the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre.

It’s now in the decision stage, but there is no word on when Health Canada will make a decision.

The Sandy Hill Community Health Centre submitted an application for a supervised injection site at its facility on Nelson Street in February.

The Health Canada website shows the Shepherds of Good Hope and the Somerset West Community Health Centre have both submitted applications for supervised injection sites. The agency is reviewing both applications.

The Ontario Government announced in its budget that it would fund one supervised injection site in Ottawa.
