Ottawa Police are on the scene of a serious crash in Barrhaven involving a pedestrian.
Police say a young woman was hit by a car around 7:00am on Woodroffe Avenue, near Whitewater Drive. She was thrown several metres on impact.
Paramedics say the woman is 21 years old and has been rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries and a possible head injury.
Woodroffe Ave was closed in both directions after the crash but has since reopened.
