Ottawa police say they are looking for two men in their 20s after a man was shot in the foot at the Tanger Outlets mall on Boxing Day.
Two men in theirs 20s were arrested and released with no charges laid, though they remain persons of interest.
The victim, also in his 20s, has been released from hospital. Police say he has been uncooperative.
Police say all of the men, including the victim, are known to the them, and believed to be linked to the Crips gang.
The shooting sent frightened shoppers and employees ducking for cover.
Police call it a brazen, targeted shooting.
Management of the mall closed early Friday to give store employees a chance to decompress from the incident.
Police are interviewing witnesses and and investigators are going through surveillance footage to help the pinpoint how the shooting unfolded.
Police say they were called to the scene at around 3:45 p.m. Saturday after several reports of a shot fired at the mall, which was crowded with Boxing Day shoppers.
Security confirms to CTV Ottawa that a shooting occured outside the Polo Ralph Lauren Store. A full lockdown was put in place, but was lifted about an hour after the incident.
The Guns and Gangs Unit is continuing their investigation.
