Transport Canada is investigating after a pilot was able to walk away from an emergency landing at the Rockcliffe Airport late Wednesday afternoon.
The pilot of a small 1961 Piper Comanche was able to land his plane safely after losing power to his engine while flying over the Ottawa River at about 5 p.m.
Police say the plane landed just short of the runway, hitting the wire fence that surrounds the Rockcliffe Flying Club.
The pilot, who is from New Brunswick, was the only one onboard the aircraft.
