A desperate search for a 15-year-old boy who disappeared while boating on Kamaniskeg Lake is underway near Bancroft, west of Ottawa, on Friday.
Police say the teen was last seen at about 9 a.m. Thursday when he was leaving Hinterland Beach in his four-metre aluminum boat.
Ontario Provincial Police say the teen's boat was later found adrift near the Chippawa Lodge. Inside the boat was a life-jacket and the boy's identification.
The teen, who is about 5'8", was last seen wearing a dark shirt, dark blue pants and glasses. He has red hair and weighs about 135 pounds.
His name has not been released.
Anyone with information about his disappearance is asked to call police at 613-332-2112.
