Ottawa police say an incident involving a school bus driver in the city's west end is not suspicious.

Police warned parents about a suspicious incident in which a male school bus driver tried to pick up four children at the corner of Lincoln Heights Road and Regina Street on Wednesday morning. None of the children, who range in age from six to 10 years old, take the bus to school.

After a short investigation, police concluded the man behind the wheel is an employee and was not trying to lure children onto his bus. Rather, police say the driver was just unfamiliar with his route.

However, police are still investigating another suspicious incident involving a school bus in Orleans.

Police say the driver of an unmarked school bus tried to pick up two young girls at the corner of Charlemagne Boulevard and Martinoff Way on May 15.

Police say the driver told the girls, aged nine and 14, that he was driving for three different schools that day, and asked them to get onboard. When the girls refused, the driver left the area.

The driver involved in that incident is described as a French-speaking male who is about 60 years old. He has a thin build, grey hair and one of his hands may be deformed.
