OTTAWA - The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a recent retail robbery, the suspect for which has been linked to a convenience store robbery in April.
On June 5, 2013, at approximately 3:30am, a lone male entered a gas station kiosk in the 1000 block of St. Laurent Blvd. The suspect made a verbal demand for cash. He fled with cash and cigarettes. There were no injuries. The suspect may have driven a black, 4door hatchback with a female passenger.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6"-6'0" (168 - 183 cm) tall, medium build, brown hair, with a prominent French accent.
This same suspect is believed to be responsible for the April 22 robbery of a convenience store situated along Montreal Road.
